PILSC Legacy
Sponsorship Program
As parents of babies that have gone too soon, the dates that we associate with our children are momentous. Symbolically each milestone date that passes is a profound reminder of the love we hold deep in our hearts, and the heartache attached.
For you, the date burned in your memory could be the day you learned your child no longer had a heartbeat or it could be the due date that never came. Your date could be the day you silently birthed your baby into the world, or perhaps it’s the day you gave birth to your living child who later died of SIDS/SUDC. That date could be the day you brought your living child home.
No matter the calendar date, the significance of love is, and forever will be, an indelible mark forever imprinted in our minds and our hearts.
As a non profit organization, we at Pregnancy & infant Loss Support Centre, are on a mission to connect those who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, TFMR, and/or infertility. In commitment to our founding mission, we have created The PILSC Legacy Sponsorship Program to honour parents at any stage of the journey. Our Legacy Sponsorship Program is a tangible way for bereaved parents, grandparents, siblings and friends to honour and acknowledge important milestone dates such as birth dates, empty due dates, and death anniversaries while paying it forward to others.
For many of us, it can feel like every day society does not hold space for our milestone dates of importance. At PILSC, we as a community understand the importance of your dates.
Our Legacy Program is a fundraising effort designed to honour the memory of your child while helping support other families who have or are suffering from loss.
How it Works
Cement your milestone date on our PILSC Calendar by donating a minimum of $125 (solely or as a group donation) in memory of your child. We kindly ask that you share your date’s significance with us so we can display your child’s name and the milestone with our community. Names and dates will be displayed on our homepage, helpline page and in a monthly social media post.
At PILSC we are a family and we believe NO family should navigate the journey of loss alone. Sponsor a legacy date, and help build your child’s legacy while supporting another family through loss.
NOTE: Your sponsorship donation is for one calendar year and sponsorship will need to be renewed annually. Submit your request at least 72 hours before the announcement date to ensure it appears on our website and social media.
*PILSC is a registered Canadian charity and all donations made will receive a charitable tax receipt.
The Legacy Sponsorship Program was founded in memory of Scott Smed, Emelina Kaluski and bab(ies) Loveridge.
