This 6-week group is professionally facilitated by a licensed Child Art Therapist. This group is for families who have experienced the loss of a child and are seeking tools to be physically, mentally, emotionally and/or spiritually present in their roles as caregivers to their living children. This group will help to release feelings of shame, guilt and judgment that caregivers may experience while enhancing the loving bond between them and their child through the shared joy of play and creative art therapies.
The support of the group will create a dialogue on how to talk to young children about grief and how to hold their sibling’s memory with them. Caregivers will learn how to read their child’s cues and miscues and respond with empathy.
Who is this group for? Caregivers and their children aged 3-5 yrs who are seeking to increase their bond through art and play.
